A budget hearing will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 15, 2022, in the office of the Newton County Commission for the purpose of hearing comments on the proposed 2023 County Budget. After December 1, 2022, the proposed budget may be examined between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays in the Commissioner’s Office. Interested citizens shall have the opportunity to give written or oral comment at this hearing. Citizens must request to speak to the Commission by 4:00 pm on the Monday prior to the Budget Hearing.
