A budget hearing will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 14, 2023, in the office of the Newton County Commission for the purpose of hearing comments on the proposed requested 2024 County Budget. After December 1, 2023, the proposed requested budget may be examined between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays in the County Clerk’s Office. Interested citizens shall have the opportunity to give written or oral comments at this hearing. Citizens must request to speak to the Commission by 4:00 pm on the Monday prior to the Budget Hearing.
