A budget hearing will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the office of the Newton County Commission for the purpose of approving the proposed 2024 County Budget. After January 4, 2024, the proposed budget may be examined between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays in the County Clerk’s Office. Interested citizens shall have the opportunity to give written or oral comments at this hearing. Citizens must request to speak to the Commission by 4:00 pm on the Monday prior to the Budget Hearing.
