The Newton County Public Safety Tax Board is seeking applicants for the newly-created “member at large” position to serve a two-year term. This Board provides oversight of the Public Safety Tax passed by the voters on Newton County in April of 2020 and will serve alongside the Newton County Commission, Newton County Sheriff, Newton County Prosecuting Attorney, and Newton County Central Dispatch Director. Applicants must be registered voters in Newton County, Missouri and up-to-date on all tax obligations. Applications will be accepted until June 13, 2025.
